At first I just couldn't put my finger on it. Why is that the models of the Dior show appeared so...long??? Sorry, but I couldn't think of a more eloquent way to put it. Yes, I know that fashion models are usually tall and lean, but that's not what I meant. These girls looked long.
Could it be that the jackets and tops hit below the waist longer than normal? Could such a trick help someone like myself who is lacking in the height department? I may have to play around with proportions the next time I go shopping.
The sleek side ponytail and liquid latex like footwear felt a little S&M to me. And those Mod bodysuits and shiny trench coats towards the end of the show also played on that factor. Not that I'm into that sort of thing but it was a nice twist to a fall/winter collection which at times can be a little stuffy and bundled up.
Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear Rewind:
Deconstruction of menswear. Bits of texture. Pops of color. All in all a winner in my eyes.
