Outfit of the Day: Dark Floral & Denim
Another day, another look. This particular ensemble incorporates one of my favorite style tricks of wearing a dress as a top.
Yes, you read that correctly. It’s nothing for me to tuck a dress into a pair of pants and cinch my waist in with a belt. The key to making this work is to (1) use a dress that isn’t too bulky and (2) wear pants that are more forgiving like wide-leg trousers.
Both the dress and denim jeans styled here are Goodwill finds. This pair of jeans are in my top three favorite pairs that I own because of the fit and the worn in look at the knees. The belt is faux-Gucci by way of Amazon. Judge me if you must, but I couldn’t fathom spending $700 on a belt. My black suede booties are Steven Madden.
