Inside Gelato & Co. Lantana: Lake Worth’s New Gelato & Dessert Spot

You know those moments where things don’t go exactly as planned… but somehow still turn out right?

I thought I was heading to the grand opening of Gelato & Co. We had been invited for free gelato, and I was genuinely excited to try something new.

But I got the date wrong. The event was actually on Friday evening, but I didn’t realize that until we arrived on Saturday afternoon. Just another reminder why I need to put everything in my Google Calendar.

The new Gelato & Co. Lantana location is tucked right into Lake Worth, and from the moment we walked in, it felt airy, elegant, and intentionally designed. Between the warm pendant lighting, teal accents, mirrored walls, and soft cream seating, the entire space has this calm European café feel that immediately makes you want to slow down and stay awhile.

Even the presentation of everything, from the dessert case to the packaged chocolates and take-home items, felt thoughtful and elevated.

Now, let’s talk gelato.

Gelato is usually churned more slowly than ice cream, which means less air gets whipped into it. That gives it a denser, smoother texture. It is also typically served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, so it melts softly instead of feeling icy or overly frozen.

I chose hazelnut, and my daughter picked vanilla. Both were creamy and rich without feeling heavy. Between the silky texture and the elegant interior, it felt less like grabbing a quick scoop and more like having a true dessert moment.

But there’s more to Gelato & Co. than meets the eye.

They offer:

  • traditional gelato

  • sorbetto options

  • gelato milkshakes

  • gelato popsicles

  • gelato sandwiches

  • cookies and shortbreads

  • take-home tubs if you want to bring a little sweetness home

And I love that because it gives you options depending on your mood. Whether you want something light or something indulgent, it’s all there in one beautiful little location.

Another thing I really appreciated was that they provide a user-friendly online allergen menu. In a time where so many people are navigating food sensitivities, myself included, that kind of transparency matters. It shows care, not just for the product, but for the people coming in to enjoy it.

If you’re in Palm Beach County and looking for a new dessert spot, Gelato & Co. Lantana is definitely worth a visit. Not just for the gelato, but for the experience. The space, the textures, the details, and the atmosphere all come together to create one of those simple little moments that makes an ordinary day feel special.
