It's Been Five Years and I Still Shave with a Men's Razor

I Still Shave with a Men's Razor (1).jpg

Yep. You read that right. I shave with a men’s razor. It was because of those pesky Facebook ads that led me to trying out the Dollar Shave Club back in 2016. What I assumed would be at most a three month trial period has instead become a staple in my beauty regimen.

For $6 a month, I was getting the four razor cartridges delivered to my mailbox. Because I normally shave 1-2 times per week, I would only need to change cartridges every other week. It’s recommended to change razors after every fourth or fifth shave. Because of my schedule, I began accumulating the shipments as I wasn’t able to use to them as fast as I’d received them. Luckily, the Dollar Shave Club allows you to adjust your shipments to every 2, 3 or 4 months.

During Quarantine 2020, I treated myself to the upgrade of the Executive handle and a razor cartridges. The difference in my monthly subscription box was just an extra $4 a month and it’s worth every cent. The regular razor cartridges have four blades and lubricating strip for added protection. The Executive cartridges on the other hand have 6 blades and the lubricating strip is infused with aloe vera. I can tell difference in the two razor and I highly recommend the Executive if you decide to give the Dollar Shave Club a go.
